Hello babs! I’m coming at you with another highlighter review today and it’s going to be about the I Heart Makeup: Goddess of Love Highlighter *internal screams*. A girl I know had shown this on her Youtube and was raving about it so I HAD to pick it up because you know I am a highlighter freak haha! I got this from Superdrug for £4.99 and for 10g worth of highlighter I think thats an absolute steal.
I’m sorry, can we just talk about how cute this packaging is??? It’s in the shape of a love heart guys like omgggggg I’m dying!😍 The highlighter itself comes in a cardboard shaped box. The bottom of the box is shiny gold and the lid is white with pink shiny lettering stating the name of the brand and the highlighter. The packaging is quite chunky though so it may take up quite some room in your storage or makeup bag so bare that in mind. The lid slides of very easily which is good as it’s not too fiddly to open up.
Side note: I have dipped in twice for this swatch for effect but it’s just as beautiful with one swipe.
Without and with flash
The highlighter shows as quite pink in the box but when you apply it to the skin it comes off quite pale with a pinky undertone/reflect to it. It has a very smooth formula and doesn’t appear chunky on the skin. The highlighter settles into the skin well and doesn’t look too shiny or glittery which I like. I think this would work on those who have fair and medium skin tone as it does come off quite pale but if you’re someone with a deeper skin tone who likes highlight then definitely give it a try as it may just work for you… (I do believe they have a darker highlighter though so if not have a look for that one☺️)
I am obsessed with this highlight and especially for the price… it’s amazing! If you’re a highlighter junkie then I definitely recommend picking this up to try as I’m sure you would love it. I wish the packaging was a little less chunky than it is as it can take up quite some room if you want to take it travelling but other than that if you like makeup that has cute packaging then this is definitely one to add to the collection.
Thanks for reading!
See you in my next post…
