Primark: PS… Pure Glow Highlighting Palette✨ | REVIEW

Hello babs! Today I thought I’d do another highlighter review because when I saw this in Primark I was shook…😱 Primark are really stepping it up with their highlighter game recently  and I am alllll for it!👏🏻 The one we are talking about today is the Pure Glow highlighting palette and this cost me £5 which is actually a really good price as you get 4 highlighters in this palette and the pan sizes for them is incredible for the price.

Side note: There is 7g of product in each of the highlighter pans.

img_5933The highlighters come in a square cardboard packing that has a white and grey marble effect to it. The name of the highlighter is in shiny rose gold lettering. Inside it is rose gold and on the part that flips open it has a picture (diagram) of where you highlight and the names of the highlighters next to it. The packaging flips open and has a magnetic shut mechanism.

The highlighters!!!!!

Side note: I have dipped in twice for these swatches as I always do because I like to see how the pigmentation builds 🙂

(Without and with flash)

Desert – This is a white highlighter with a pink shift to it.
Glimmer – This is a gold highlighter.
Eden – This is is a pink highlighter.
Firefly –
This is a deep gold/bronze highlighter.

These highlighters have a creamy formula and are soft/smooth to the touch. I did notice that 2 of them are not as baked as the other ones so differ slightly in formula. The more baked ones are Glimmer and Firefly. They sit beautifully on the skin, they are not glittery and almost give off slight wet look which is what I love in a highlighter. I was honestly shook with how pigmented they are on the skin, they can be quite blinding but they can also be quite subtle as well depending on what shade you choose and how much product you use.

Final thoughts…

I do really like this palette, I don’t think it’s as good as my current favourite which is the Lottie London Shimmer Squad but it is definitely up there as a great highlighter. The only downfall is the fact that you don’t get a mirror in the palette, I’m someone who likes a mirror so I would have rather they put one in instead of having the ‘tacky’ looking picture and shade names (we already get the shade names underneath the highlighters so why do we need it again)…🤷🏻‍♀️ For £5 though it’s a great little palette and yes they may not have a put in a mirror in because of it being so cheap but I’m sure I’ve seen then put mirrors in their other products so they could have done with one in this too! I think I may only be able to get use out of 1 or 2 shades though but for the pan sizes I’m not mad. If you’re someone who is into your highlighter then I’m sure you’d like this but even if you’re not it’s a good price if you are wanting to try out the whole highlighting thing 🙂 If you see it in your Primark then I would definitely advise you to pick it up and give it a go!

Thanks for reading!

See you in my next post…
