Charlotte Tilbury: Filmstar Bronze & Glow | REVIEW

Hello babs! I’m coming at you with a highend makeup product review today and were going to be talking about the Filmstar Bronze & Glow. I picked mine up from Selfridges for £49 (a little steep in price but I’ve seen so many people raving about it soooo). I don’t usually splurge that amount of money on a makeup product without really thinking about it but I had the money and I’ve wanted it of ages so why not treat myself ay!

Side note: I got mine in the shade Fair-Medium and it comes with 16g of product in it.

Packaging

img_5944The product comes in a rectangular rose gold metal packaging. On the front it has lines going all around and in the centre it has a diamond with the letters CT on it. It flips open and has a secure click shut mechanism. The palette also has a good size and good quality mirror and in the corner of the mirror it has a star.

First impressions

I was sold on the packaging to be honest, its so sleek and its rose gold so thats a win win for me… anything rose gold I love! The first thing I like to check before I use the product is if it has any smell to it. This only really has a smell if you get your nose right up to the product, if you don’t then you won’t notice it at all. Although I was matched up to this palette shade in the store I could tell from looking at it and swatching it myself that it was a good match. The bronzer is not too cool toned but not too warmed either so it suited my skin tone nicely. The highlighter was not too subtle but not too intense either so it will work for anyone depending on how popping they like their highlight to be. The formula is creamy but a thing to bear in mind is that it can give quite a bit of kick-up if you swirl your brush in it.

Final thoughts…

Although I was a little sceptical about it due to the price at first I can honestly say it is worth the money! However if you are worried about paying much a huge price but want to try it out then you could always try the W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow (review coming soon) which is a much more affordable dupe. I definitely recommend adding it to your makeup collection because it is a great little palette to chuck in your makeup bag and you kill 2 birds with 1 stone with it by contouring/bronzing and highlighting at the same time 😀
