Decluttering my makeup!!

Hello babs! I thought I would do something a little different on my blog to mix it up a bit… I’ve had been gathering little basket of makeup products that I need to declutter from my makeup collection so I thought why not show you all what they are… My sisters will end up claiming the majority of it anyway I think haha so best get this post up so that they can 😛 A lot of these products are ones that I don’t really reach for and a couple are quite old but if you’d like to see what I’m decluttering then be sure to keep reading (this is gonna be a long one so bear that in mind)…

Side note: I apologise in advance for the terrible lighting but I really wanted to get this post up!

Eyeshadow Palettes

MUA: Captivation Palette – I actually got this free in Superdrug the once maybe like last year because I’d spent over a certain amount on MUA products. I’ve only used it a few times but I never ever reach for it because the colours just aren’t me.
Avon: Hollywood Collection Palette (Silver Screen) – My sister got me this for Christmas maybe a few years ago now and it’s an alright palette but again I’ve never really reached for this. The colours don’t scream out to me.
MUA: Undress Me Too Palette – This was one of the first eyeshadow palettes I bought myself when I first started with makeup like 2 years ago. This is another one I don’t reach ever for because I’ve got similar shades in my other eyeshadow palettes I own.
BH Cosmetics: Party Girl Limited Edition Palette – This was the first ever proper coloured eyeshadow palette I owned and to be honest I didn’t really use it much and I still don’t… I can’t seem to get on well with the formula on my eyes and think my NYX Ultimate Brights palette is waaaaay better.

Sleek: Precious Metals Palette – This is one of the first highlighters I ever owned and I loved it back in the day because I didn’t know much about highlighters. This has 3 cream highlighters and to be honest I don’t ever use cream highlighters and the 1 that isn’t a cream is too dark for me.
MUA: Undress Your Skin (Pink Shimmer) – This is a great highlighter but I don’t really like pink highlighters on my skin tone. Again I had this when I first started out with makeup so at the time I hadn’t worked out what shade suited my skin tone.
MUA: Radiant Illumination Highlighting Kit – I got this free the once from Superdrug when I spent over a certain amount on MUA and I decluttered this as soon as I got it… theres nothing illuminating about this, it gives off basically no highlight or anything…
Manna: GLO Illuminator – I had got this in one of my Glossyboxes and I’ve barely even used it because I don’t really like using illuminators. (I only use like 1 liquid highlighter and thats it).
Tanya Burr: Liquid Highlighter (Beaming) – I got this in a Christmas set last year and again I’ve barely even used it… I just don’t like liquid highlighters apart from one from Makeup Revolution.

Ruby: Blush – I got this in one of my Glossyboxes and I did like it to begin with but its just slightly too coral pink for my liking so I barely reach for it.
Sleek: Creme to Powder (Carnation) – I again got this in one of my Glossyboxes and I just can’t seem to get the hang of it. I’ve never really been one to sway towards cream blushes because I just can’t seem to get them to look right.
Bang Beauty: Cream Color (Dolce Pink) – This is another one I got in one of my Glossyboxes and again it’s a cream blush. It did say this can be used on eyes as well but I don’t see myself using it to be honest so may as well just declutter it.

Silicone Sponges

Makeup Revolution & Styl London – I got the Makeup Revolution one when I first started my blog to see what the hype was about but I only used it the once and never since because I did not like how it applied my foundation. I then got the Styl London one in a Glossybox but I never used it because I’d already tried out the other one.

Contours/Face Palettes

Sleek: Face Form (Medium) – I got this when I first started out with makeup and I have only used a few times because it is too dark for me. The highlighter is nice though but it’s just the other 2 shades… I can’t keep just for the highlighter because that would be silly.
Barry M: Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit – This is again another one of the first contour things I really had and I just don’t reach for it because the shades just aren’t suited to my skin tone.
Tanya Burr: Cheek Palette (Peachy Glow) – This is another palette I owned when I was fairly new to makeup but now I realise the contour shade is too dark and far too glittery and the blush shade is also too glittery which I don’t like.
Model Co: Contour Stick – I got this in one of my Glossyboxes and to be honest I don’t really reach for cream contour because I can’t seem to get it to go right. This seemed to blend away to nothing and the shade wasn’t completely right so.

Lip Glosses

Tanya Burr: Lip Gloss (Berry Pavlova & Candy Cane) – I got these from my sister for Christmas last year when I was trying to use lip gloss more and I have used them a few times but recently I don’t seem to reach for them anymore… I’m not one that really opts for lip gloss in my routine anyway.
Makeup Revolution: Amazing Lipgloss (Crystal) – I’ve had this since I started blogging and I’ve only used it a couple of times.. I do not like the formula of this at all, its too sticky on the lips and you don’t get much pigment from it anyway so you have to layer it and layer it.
Rimmel London: Oh My Gloss! (Moonlight, Desire & Rita’s Black) – I recieved these complimentary from Rimmel and Influenster a few months ago and they are okay lip glosses but I honestly don’t see myself getting any wear out of these even for Halloween…

Liquid Lipsticks

Cougar: Liquid Lipsticks – I got these from Fragrance Direct last year because they had a good deal on and they are nice liquid lipsticks but I just don’t get much wear out of these 2 colours.
Primark: PS Matte Liquid Lipstick (Cookie Dough) – I do like the formula of this liquid lipstick but the shade is waaaay to pale for my skin tone.
MUA: Velvet Lip Lacquer (Tranquility) – I got this last year because my friend from work had recommended it to me and although I really like the colour I just couldn’t get on well with the formula… this crumbled on my lips far too quickly and easily.

Sport FX: Eyeliner Pencil Duo – I got this in one of my Glossyboxes and because of my eye shape I’ve never used it because eyeliner doesn’t suit me. I tried to use the brown end form brows and it is good because I never really use a pencil anymore for my brows so no point keeping it.
Rodial: Smokey Eye Pen – Again I got this is one of my Glossyboxes and I’ve only used it like once but that wasn’t even for eyeliner. I just don’t suit eyeliner so I will never use it.

Eye & Cheek Palette, Primer & Mascara

Sleek: Eye & Cheek Palette (All Day Soiree) – I got this in one of my Glossyboxes and to be honest I haven’t reached for it. The eye colours are just not my style and they are too glittery. The blush is glittery also and I just don’t see myself using this palette at all.
Asda (George): Face Primer – I didn’t get on well with this at all because it just made my face drier than it normally is which didn’t help.
Primark: Amplif-eyed Mascara – This mascara just didn’t work well for me… it didn’t really do much for my lashes to be honest and  I haven’t reached for it since I tried it out the once.

Think I’ve done pretty well with my first ever decluttering. I did ‘um’ and ‘ah’ about some things so it was slightly difficult for me but I’m glad as I genuinely hardly or never reached for this stuff. Thank you and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading 🙂

See you in my next post…
