Glossybox January – UNBOXING

Hello babs! A couple of days ago I received my first Glossybox of the year 2018 so lets see what they have kicked the new year off with…

Incase you didn’t know what it is, Glossybox is a monthly subscription box where you will get 5 hair, makeup or beauty products for £10 a month (BARGAIN) – some of them being full size too! This is my 9th box I have gotten from them and to be honest this box just didn’t excite me again this month and its annoying because I think the last box that was actually good in my opinion was about 2-3 months ago… but anyhow lets see what I got…

1. Boots: Beauty Beneath Supplements (Full size – £39.99)
Glossybox states
“While serums and moisturisers are vital for great skin, they can only penetrate so far, which is why it’s a good idea to boost your efforts with a nutrient-rich supplement. The Beauty Beneath** formula from scientists at Boots consists of two soft-gel capsules taken daily, each packed with a complex blend of 19 nutrients essential for healthy, glowing skin. These nutrients work to boost your own collagen production, fading fine lines and wrinkles while leaving your skin softer than ever.”

**suitable for pescatarians

2. Evelyn Iona Cosmetics: Green Tea Primer (Full size – £22)
Glossybox states
“A good primer is essential for flawless, long-lasting makeup, which is why we’re so smitten with this. Packed with moisturising ingredients including avocado oil and green tea extract, it’ll nourish and protect your complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines and large pores, and help your makeup stay put for longer. It’s cruelty and paragon free too!”

3. Dr Botanicals: Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil (Not full size – *Full size retails for £55)
Glossybox states
“This gorgeous facial oil is packed full of skin enriching minerals and vitamins, which all work together to rejuvenate, renew and protect your complexion. Moroccan rose is a potent source of vitamins A and C, plus antioxidants essential for protecting against free radicals. Pop three drops onto your fingertips and gently press into your skin, keeping it feeling hydrated and supple all day long.”

4. Nail Medic: Nail and Cuticle Energizer (Full size – £5.99)
Glossybox states
“If your nails are in need of some serious TLC, this reparative oil is just what you need. A delicious blend of vitamins, plant extracts, revitalising eucalyptus and soothing lavender, it gets to work on brittle nails, split cuticles and dry skin. Just massage a few drops into your nail bed and cuticles, for instant hydration and stronger nails!”

5. Apicia: Cream Blush (Full size – £22)
Glossybox states
“If you’re new to cream blush, this couldn’t be a better introduction. As with all Apicia products, it is rich in organic bee pollen to nourish skin. For a subtle flush of colour, dab it on slowly and blend in, building up the colour as you need. A deep honey pink, this hue suits all skin tones.”

As I said at the beginning this box didn’t excite me this month although I am really looking forward to trying out the primer as I love testing out primers! The Boots supplements I am a little bit sceptical to try and the cream blush does scare me a little as I’m not usually one for a cream blush. I do like the idea of the facial oil and the nail and cuticle repairer so definitely gonna give those a try. Personally I would have liked to have seen more makeup but I’m guessing they were going for the “look better feel better” vibe considering it is a new year and people have resolutions for that haha. Anyway… overall it was an okay both but nothing too exciting in my opinion.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little unboxing and if you’re interested in subscribing to this box then click here 🙂 (it is my referral code btw which you don’t have to use if you don’t want to)

Thanks for reading!

See you in my next post…
