Decluttering my makeup!! (again)

Hello babs! Today I’m going to be doing a decluttering (it’s been nearly a year since my last one and you can check out that one here) because I’ve had a bag with some items just sitting in my bedroom for a while now so I thought why not show you all what I’m saying goodbye to… A lot of these products are ones that I don’t really reach for or they just simple don’t agree with me for whatever reasons so if you want to see what I’m decluttering then be sure to keep on reading!

EYESHADOW

Revolution Flawless Mattes Palette This is a tester palette and I’m pretty sure I got this for free with an order like last year and I have never ever used it. The shades in here are so boring and it doesn’t excite me one bit. It’s nice if you’re into neutral everyday shades but for me it’s just “meh”.
Trifle Cosmetics Praline Palette – I got this in a Glossybox and I have never reached for it. The shades are all shimmers so you would be unable to create a look with this and it’s just so tiny. The colours aren’t really anything special either.
Revolution Baked Mono Eyeshadow: Astral – This is a single eyeshadow that I received in an eBay mystery makeup bag and to be honest this is a shade that I never ever use on my eyes. The shade is pretty but I don’t use shimmers on my lid of this type of colour.
Revolution Mermaid VS Unicorns Palette – This is another item I received in a Glossybox and I think I’ve only reached for it once and used 1 shade… All of the shades in here are shimmers so again you can’t really create any looks with this on it’s own. The shimmers don’t perform the best either, there are definitely better shimmer palettes out there compared to this one.

FACE/EYE PALETTES

I Heart Revolution Surprise Dragon’s Egg – I think this was an impulse buy in all honesty because I’d seen so much hype on social media up to the release date so kinda just bought it without really thinking if I needed it. The shades are pretty but I’ve never reached for this and the packaging is quite bulky to be honest which was annoying me storage wise.
Revolution My Sign Complete Eye Base: Virgo – Again I think this was an impulse buy because it was on sale and it was my star sign… I really don’t know why I got this because the shades just aren’t me. I haven’t reached for this at all since I’ve had it.
Revolution Bold as Brass Palette – I got this free with a makeup order on Superdrug and haven’t reached for it. Only 2 of the highlighters I could use and I just don’t reach for those types of eyeshadow shades often unless I want a smokey eye which is very rare.
Revolution Cold as Ice Palette – I actually got this as a present from my best friend but I’ve never used it. I feel so bad for decluttering this but the shades in it just aren’t me at all.
Tanya Burr Beautifully Defined Palette – I actually used this quite a bit when I got it for Christmas the one year but then I started experimenting with other things and kind of forgot about this. I have these shades in other palettes that I reach for more and the packaging is just too chunky which again annoyed me for storage purposes.
Essence Live.Laugh.Celebrate Palette – I custom created this palette with the shades I received in a Glossybox and I have never reached for it. The shades just don’t excite me and honestly from swatches they don’t seem that great in pigmentation either. I have other palettes I like more so no point keeping.

BLUSHERS

Apicia Blush Creme – I received this in a Glossybox and I have never used it because I do not like cream blushes whatsoever… I just can’t seem to get them to look right on me.
I Heart Revolution Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher: Peachy Pink Kisses – I really wanted to love this product because the shade is stunning but this blusher is just too shimmery for me. I don’t mind a little sheen to my blush but this literally has straight up glitter.
Trifle Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Jam – The packaging for this is so cute! I received this in a Glossybox and I have tried it out on my lips but the formula was too sticky. I haven’t dare tried this on my face because I just have visions of looking like a clown and as I’ve said before I don’t like cream or liquid blushers.

LIPS

Steve Laurant Lip Gloss: Nude Pop – I received this item in a Glossybox and I have to admit this rose gold packaging is stunning. The product however was disappointing because the pigmentation wasn’t the best and it didn’t last very long on the lips. It’s not a gloss like it states either, to me it seems like a lip tint.
Sleek Power Plump: Colossal Coral – This is another item I received in a Glossybox and I have tried it out but I’m not one for plumping products if I’m honest because I don’t like the feeling it has on my lips. If it wasn’t plumping then I may have kept it. This colour isn’t the best on my skin tone either, it’s a little too bright for what I like.
MUA Matte Lipstick: Lilac Belle – I got this item from an eBay mystery makeup bag but this colour just isn’t what I typically choose for a lipstick.
MDM Flow Liquid Lipstick: Retro – Again this is another item I got in a Glossybox and the only reason I’m decluttering it is because the shade is way too bright for what I like and tend to go for.

EYEBROWS

Collection Define & Perfect Eyebrow Powder – I got this product in a Glossybox and I did actually like it at one point. It did make my eyebrows look good but then I started using and preferring pomades so I forgot about this and now there are just better eyebrow products I prefer more.

That concludes this decluttering, I didn’t end up decluttering as much as I did nearly a year ago but I think thats because I have more experience in knowing what will work for me and what won’t.

Thank you and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading 🙂

See you in my next post…
