Glossybox TRICK OR TREAT – October Unboxing

Hello babs! Feels like the longest time since I’ve unboxed a Glossybox on my blog… I think the last one I did was back in March and that feels like forever ago… This month they had 2 special edition boxes that you could get, you could either get their TRICK or TREAT box.. I received the TRICK box and come on… isn’t the design of this box just incredible!!!

Incase you didn’t know what it is, Glossybox is a monthly subscription box where you will get 5 hair, makeup or beauty products for £10 a month (BARGAIN) – some of them being full size too!

1. Illamasqua: Antimatter Lipstick – Energy (Full size – £20)
Glossybox states
“The perfect clutch bag accomplice for your Halloween party, this cruelty-free lipstick from the British beauty brand with an edge will suit every outfit. The cushioned finish glides effortlessly onto your lips for an on-trend semi-matte finish. We’re smitten with this sultry, vampy hue that’s a great alternative to a dark red for the colder seasons.”

*Very excited to have an Illamasqua product in the box but in honesty the shade of this lipstick does scare me. I’ll definitely give it a try but I don’t think it will be one that I’m confident enough to wear out.

2. Sleek Makeup: Eyeshadow Palette – Au Naturel (Full size – £8.99)
Glossybox states
“Swap your summer shades for moodier, autumnal hues with this full-size cruelty-free palette. The 12 super pigmented, long-lasting, mineral based shades cover all bases from smoky and sophisticated to daytime chic. We adore the combination of matte and pearlescent shades that’ll keep you bang on-trend and provide a whole host of possibilities for a sultry Halloween eye look.

*I do love an eyeshadow palette but this one doesn’t really excite me from the shade selection. I probably won’t get a lot of use out of it purely because I have these shades in other palettes that I own.

3. This Works: In Transit Camera Close-up (Not full size – *Full size retails for £35, Deluxe mini size retails for £17)
Glossybox states
“You’ll be ready for your close-up with this cruelty-free mask, moisturiser and primer in one. The powerful blend of repairing plant oils, Hyaluronic Acid, Argan and Starflower Oils plus a hit of Caffeine, result in a revitalising formula. This is the perfect way to rapidly erase the signs of fatigue, boost hydration and to prep your skin for photo perfect makeup.”

*This is probably the product I’m most looking forward to trying out.. I love a primer and the fact this has all these properties and things in I’m very excited!!!! Love a good 3-in-1 product.

4. Luna By Luna Cosmetics: Translucent Loose Powder (Full size – £17)
Glossybox states
“Hailing from New Jersey, this cruelty-free setting powder sets your makeup to keep your skin smooth for hours. We’re in love with the lightweight formula that soaks up excess oil while softening fine lines and hiding pores. We recommend using a beauty blender to apply the translucent powder to areas you’ve concealed to help your makeup stay fresh.”

*Very excited to try this product out because I only really have 1 loose powder that I swear by so really need to find others. I’m very interested to see how this looks on the skin and whether is has the dreaded flashback or not…

5. MUA Makeup Academy: Luxe Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit (Full size – £5)
Glossybox states
“This vegan friendly and cruelty-free 2 in 1 compact is the perfect way to effortlessly bronze and contour. The lightweight powder comes in two shades – one with a hint of shimmer for highlighting the areas of your face that naturally catch the light and a darker shade perfect for sculpting and defining your features. Apply the darker shade along your jawline, either side of your nose and in the hollows of your cheeks. Say hello to bronzed perfection.”

*I love that this product was included but sad at the same time because I already own this… I haven’t even hit pan on the one I own so I’ll probably end up giving this away otherwise it will sit gathering dust. This is a really nice product though!!

This box was very interesting and overall I am very pleased with what we received. I always love a special edition box… I just feel like it makes it more fun and interesting when you open it 🙂

  1. I stopped my subscription in March this year due to a couple of issues with Glossybox and it seems I’m not missing out too much. The sleek eyeshadow palletes are nice but I think I have 3 or 4 in the house and the colours are very samey. I’ve had the loose powder and 3 in 1 product in a previous box too within the past 6 months I would say. LEt us know what you think of the 3 in 1.
