🚫Eyeshadow Palette Anti Haul – RECENT RELEASES🚫

Hello babs! Today I’m going to be talking about some recent eyeshadow palette releases and the reasons for me not wanting to buy them… I know they are majority high-end but there is a drugstore one in the mix haha!

1. Charlotte Tilbury Stars in Your Eyes Palette (£60 on Cult Beauty) – Now although this palette is really quite stunning, I don’t see how they can justify selling it for 60 POUND!!!! I just feel like there are palettes out there that have more shades in them for less money so how can you have a palette with 12 shades in worth £60?? The shades aren’t really anything special either, I’m pretty sure you can get all those shades in another palette(s) for less money…

2. Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette (£42 on Urban Decay) – Is anyone else a little over the Naked palettes or is it just me?? Yes, it does have 12 shades in and costs less than the Charlotte Tilbury one but again I feel like we’ve seen all these shades before and have them in other more affordable palettes… I guess if you collect the Naked palettes then definitely go for it but it’s just one that doesn’t stand out to me to be honest.

3. Huda Beauty Nude Palette (£56 on Cult Beauty) – Again, what is it with the pricing of palettes nowadays?? Don’t get me wrong this palette is beautiful and I love some nude eyeshadow but I can’t justify spending that amount of money on it… It does have 18 shades which is more than what the Charlotte Tilbury one had and costs £4 less than it but again you can get these shades in other more affordable palettes. The duo chromes that look like chunky glitter kind of puts me off as well because I just have visions of there being so much fall out…

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Palette (£43 on Beauty Bay) – Now I love my Modern Renaissance palette which was £41 at the time so the fact they are now £43 doesn’t bother me too much but I’m just not a purple eyeshadow lover so this palette doesn’t speak to me. It does look stunning and I have seen some good reviews but I just wouldn’t get my use out of it so why waste £43 when I could keep using my Modern Renaissance one which I love to death.

5. Urban Decay Elements Palette (£45 on Urban Decay) – In all honesty I feel this should have been around the same price as the Naked palettes or just under because I think the Naked palettes look better… I know this is a Christmas release so maybe that’s why its a little more expensive but this palette just doesn’t wow me. I feel like they’ve released something similar before (I could be wrong) but yeah, not a huge fan.

6. Revolution Reloaded Passion for Colours Palette (£4 on Revolution Beauty) – This palette just doesn’t excite me, I much prefer their Mischief Mattes palette which had some lovely bright colours. I feel like the shades in this palette don’t really work well together, it just looks slightly off to me. The price point for this palette though is incredible and I do really like Revolution eyeshadows but this palette just doesn’t do it for me… I’ll stick to my Mischief Mattes one or my NYX Ultimate Brights if I want some colour!

7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette (£46 on Beauty Bay) – Why is this palette more expensive than the others they’ve released?? I feel like they’ve done it because it’s a Christmas release but in my opinion thats quite cheeky of them, they should be priced the same… Anyway, I have to say that I think this is the most boring eyeshadow palettes I have ever seen… I just don’t understand what they were going for with this and that random pop of pink just doesn’t fit with the rest of the shadows  either (I feel like they just threw this palette together and didn’t actually put that much thought into it). This is a big fat NO and I don’t understand why they’ve released it at Christmas when the only Christmassy thing about it really is the packaging…

8. Huda Beauty Obsession Palettes: Emerald, Ruby, Amethyst & Sapphire (£25 each on Cult Beauty) – Now don’t get me wrong all of these palettes look absolutely stunning but I just wouldn’t ever reach for them… the only one I would potentially buy is the Topaz Obsessions because that shade range is right up my street! I do think the price of the palettes is reasonable and I love how each one is based around a specific colour but yeah no point spending the money for them to just gather dust and I rarely wear colourful eye looks anyway…

Thanks for reading this eyeshadow palettes anti haul, I really hope you enjoyed it! Let me know your thoughts about any of these products whether you’ve tried them out or whether you’re thinking about buying them because I’d love to know 😀

See you in my next post…
