Hello babs! I’m going to be reviewing yet another chocolate bar palette today and the one I’ll be talking about it the most latest individual release… the Cranberries and Chocolate palette. This palette was originally an exclusive in the I Heart Revolution Chocolate Vault set but because everyone asked so much, they released it on its own!! I ordered mine from the RevolutionBeauty website for £8.99 and after a little mess up with the courier, I finally received my item about 2 weeks later.. You can also get it on Superdrug for the same price.
There are 18 shadows with 0.035oz/1g of product in each.
Like all the other palettes, the shadows come in a shiny brown plastic rectangular packaging. This one has a deep purpley-red 3D melted chocolate effect on the front. The palette flips open and inside it has a full size mirror. It has a click shut mechanism and each of the shade names are printed underneath the eyeshadows.
Due to it being a November release and the name of the palette… I thought it would give me all kinds of Christmas vibes but inside the shades aren’t that Christmassy which is a little disappointing but hey ho… The palette does smell incredible like always and is not too overpowering. This is definitely a neutral palette but I like how it has a nice mix of warm and cool tones. I feel you can definitely get quite a number of different looks with this palette… you can go for more everyday looks or even evening smokey looks but you can differentiate them by either going for warm or cool tones. There are 6 shimmer shades and 12 matte shades which I like because I prefer more mattes to shimmers but I do think the shimmer selection they have given us is good. I do think the shade Cosmopolitan and Festive look quite similar in the pan but Festive is more red and deeper in the swatch. I will say the shade Rich threw me off when I first looked at is as I thought it was going to be a nice deep forest green but when I swatched the shade its actually pretty much a black shade… (not that I am complaining but just thought I’d point it out incase it threw you off as well) The pigmentation of the shadows is overall quite good, some of the lighter shades I had to build up but apart from that they seem to blend and build easily!
Disclaimer: Don’t always rely on swatches of shadows because sometimes they perform better on the eyes than they do in the swatches or vice versa… I just like to show swatches so you get an idea on what the colours look like.
(Without and with flash)
Auburn – This is an orange terracotta matte shade. Pigmentation 3.5/5.
Gratification – This is a white shimmer which could be good to use as an inner corner or under the brow highlight. Pigmentation 3.5/5.
Tasteful – This is a champagne shimmer which again could be good to use as an inner corner or under the brow highlight. Pigmentation 3.5/5.

Wine – This is a pinky red matte shade. Pigmentation 2.5/5 as quite patchy.
Heavenly – This is a white yellow shimmer which could be good to use as an inner corner or under the brow highlight. Pigmentation 4/5.
This is quite a nice palette but I just wish it had more of a Christmas feel to it due to the name and the time of the year they released it but thats just my personal opinion. I do like how they have given a mix of warm and cool tones because a lot of palettes nowadays are purely warm tones… I do recommend the palette but it’s not my favourite of the ones they have released at the moment. I will use it again but it won’t be one that I gravitate towards straight away in my collection. If you like the look of the shades then I’d say get it because overall the shadows worked well and the pigmentation is decent.
