Revolution Pro MISCHIEF MATTES Palette Review❤️💛💚💙💜

Hello babs! I’m going to be reviewing the Mischief Mattes palette out of the Revolution Pro Regeneration palette range. I’ve had this for quite a while now and I think I got it from RevolutionBeauty for £8 but you can also get it from Superdrug for the same price. This is the 2nd colourful palette in my collection that I own, the other one being the Ultimate Brights palette from NYX which I have already reviewed on my blog (check it out here). If you’re into your bright eyeshadow then carry on reading to find out what I think of this palette…

It has 18 eyeshadows with 0.03oz/0.8g of product in each.

Packaging

The eyeshadows come in a rectangular plastic packaging which is predominantly black with a clear see-through front so that you can see the colours of the eyeshadows. The name of the brand is in white and gold lettering on the front of the packaging. The palette flips open and has a click shut mechanism. The names of the shadows are printed underneath each individual eyeshadow.

Ingredients

MICA, ALUMINIUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, POLYBUTENE, POLYETHYLENE, DIMETHICONE, METHYLPARABEN, PROPYLPARABEN, [+/- CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 15985, CI 16035, CI 42090, CI 15850, CI 77007, CI 77510, CI 77288, CI 19140, CI 77499].

First impressions

Just from first glance at the palette you can see the amount of different colours you get so this is definitely going to be a palette you can use for fun colourful looks. The palette doesn’t have much of a scent. All of the shades in this palette are matte so if you’re into your matte eyeshadows then you will definitely like this palette. When I was swatching the shades, I noticed that quite a few of them felt chalky whereas others felt more buttery… this didn’t really have an effect when putting them on my eyes as the shades did blend nicely. There was some slight fall out with them being bright colours so I would recommend doing eyes first before base. Overall the shadows have really good pigmentation, some just need more work blending than others but nothing major. I would also recommend to put down an eye base to begin with because these shadows do have potential to stain your eyelids.

Swatches

Disclaimer: Don’t always rely on swatches of shadows because sometimes they perform better on the eyes than they do in the swatches or vice versa… I just like to show swatches so you get an idea on what the colours look like.

(Without and with flash)

Saint – This is a white matte which could be good to set an lid base/primer and could be used as an inner corner or under the brow highlight. Pigmentation 3.5/5.
Attached – This is a nude brown matte which is slightly darker than my skin tone. This could be good to use a transition shade in the crease. Pigmentation 3/5.
New Day – This is a yellow matte. Pigmentation 3.5/5.
Daydream – This is an orange matte. Pigmentation 4/5.
Half Time – This is a red matte. Pigmentation 3.5/5.

Ringleader – This is a magenta pink matte. Pigmentation 3.5/5.
Fearless – This is a barbie pink matte. Pigmentation 3/5.
Shrine – This is a lavender purple matte. Pigmentation 3/5.
Indication – This is a blue toned purple matte. Pigmentation 2.5/5 as slightly patchy.
Crusade – This is a sky blue matte. Pigmentation 3/5.
Poison – This is a forest green matte. Pigmentation 3/5.

Upperhand – This is a terracotta brown matte. Pigmentation 3.5/5.
Underdog – This is a hot pink matte. Pigmentation 3.5/5.
Ricochet – This is a muted pink matte. Pigmentation 3/5.
Exclusive – This is a pink toned purple matte. Pigmentation 3/5.
Haunted – This is a plum purple matte. Pigmentation 3/5.
Cursed – Not sure whether this is meant to be a black or a purple black… Pigmentation is a 2.5/5 as quite patchy.

Final thoughts…

I do really like this palette… I think I prefer this palette over my NYX one and I used to love my NYX one!!! I love the colour selection this has and you practically have everything you need in one palette so you’ll be able to create so many different looks with this palette. If you’re into colourful shadows then you’ll definitely love this palette as it is very inspiring when you look at it! For the price as well, with the amount of shades you get… its an absolute steal if you ask me!

Thanks for reading!
