Obsession Makeup LOVE. EVERY. SHADE Palette Review

Hello babs! I’m going to be reviewing an eyeshadow palette from Obsession Makeup and its the Love. Every. Shade palette… I actually got this free in a goody bag from a Makeup Revolution event and I was quite glad I did as I’ve never tried anything from Obsession Makeup before… If you’re interested you can get this palette from Boots and Revolution Beauty for £5 which is very inexpensive for an eyeshadow palette! This is a very neutral everyday sort of palette as you will see if you read on 🙂

There are 8 shades in this palette, each with 1.6g / 0.056oz of product in each.

Packaging

The eyeshadows come in a plastic rectangular packaging which has a see-through lid. The name of the brand is in black lettering on the lid and the name of the product is in big holographic lettering also on the lid. The back of the palette is white. The palette flips open and has a click shut mechanism.

Ingredients

MICA, TALC, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, ALUMINIUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE, POLYETHENE, POLYBUTENE, BIS-DIGLYCERYL POLYACYLADIPATE-1, DIMETHICONE, KAOLIN, SILICA, TIN OXIDE, METHYLPARABEN, PROPYLPARABEN, [+/-: CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77510, CI 15850, CI 77266].

First impressions

The eyeshadows do have a slight scent to them but it’s nothing too noticeable and has a normal makeup type smell. I really like the shade selection in this palette as they are very neutral, wearable, everyday shades. There is an even amount of mattes to shimmers which I like as it gives the palette a nice balance to work with on the eyes. I like how there is a bone cream sort of shade, a few transition shades and a black. You can definitely travel with this palette as it has everything you will need to create a nice eye look! Overall, the pigmentation of this palette is actually surprisingly good as well! The shimmers are very impressive and the mattes don’t seem patchy in pigmentation which is good… The pan sizes for the eyeshadows are quite big but it means that you have a lot of product to work with. The eyeshadows blend well together and work nicely on the eyes. The black needs a little TLC on the eyes but all in all it works decent.

Swatches

Disclaimer: Don’t always rely on swatches of shadows because sometimes they perform better on the eyes than they do in the swatches or vice versa… I just like to show swatches so you get an idea on what the colours look like.

(Without and with flash)

Winner – This is a bronzy orangey foil like shade. Pigmentation 5/5.
Zeal – This is a light brown matte shade which could be good to use as a transition shade in the crease. Pigmentation 3.5/5.
Fresh – This is a bone cream matte shade which could be good for setting an eyelid primer/base. Pigmentation 3/5.
Delight – This is a deep brown shimmer with gold flecks in it. Pigmentation 4/5.

Unique – This is an orangey brown matte shade which again could be good to use as a transition shade in the crease. Pigmentation 4/5.
Thrill – This is a reddy orange foil like shade. Pigmentation 5/5.
Feel – This is a champagne foil like shade. Pigmentation 4.5/5.
Own – This is a black matte shade. Pigmentation 4/5.

Final thoughts…

I have really been enjoying this palette a lot recently! For the price I definitely think you should pick it up and give it a whirl… the shade range is so nice and the shadows work really well on the eyes. If you’re someone who’s into their neutral, wearable, everyday shades or if you travel a lot then this would be a great palette to own! I highly recommend picking this palette up!!!
