Hello babs! Today I’m going to be reviewing an eyeshadow palette I’ve had for a couple of months now and I have played with it a few times… its the STYLondon Eaton Square eyeshadow palette. I received mine in a Glossybox but I have checked and it is available on the STYLondon website for £9.99.
There are 9 eyeshadows in this palette and the whole palette contains 5g of product. Estimating about 0.55g of product in each pan.
*This palette is paraben free, has Vitamin E, mineral based and cruelty free.*

The eyeshadows come in a shiny black plastic square packaging. The name of the brand is on the front of the palette in white lettering and on the back it has a sticker will all of the information on about the palette. The palette flips open and has a click shut mechanism. (The packaging does feel a little cheap) This palette does not have a mirror and the shades do not have any names.
MICA, TALC, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, ALUMINIUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE, POLYETHYLENE, POLYBUTENE, DIMETHICONE, TIN OXIDE, TOCOPHEROL ACETATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, RED IRON OXIDE, YELLOW IRON OXIDE, BLACK IRON OXIDE, MANGANESE VIOLET, D&C RED NO. 7, FD&C RED NO. 40.
This palette does have a slight scent to it but it is not noticeable unless you put your nose really close to the eyeshadows. When I first looked at the inside of the palette I knew straight away that this would be one I liked the look of, the majority of the shades in here are warm toned apart from 2 of them. I love an everyday warm toned palette. The one thing I did notice that kind of let me down was the fact there are only two shades in this palette that are matte, the rest of them are shimmers… I prefer to have more mattes in a palette compared to shimmers. The matte shades are ones that I will use all of the time so I do like that but I just wish we had a deeper matte shade so that this could have been the perfect travel palette. The shimmer shades look really nice in the pan but aren’t as intense when I swatched them. For the price I would have also liked to have a mirror in this palette because with the palette being so little and travel friendly, it would be good to take it on the go if there was a mirror included. When swatching the shades I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of pigmentation they have (they aren’t the most pigmented shades ever)… because I’d never really heard of this brand before I was sceptical about the formula… however these swatch so good! They mattes blend out easily and the shimmers work well, I would suggest using your finger or a wet brush to apply them to get better pay-off.
Disclaimer: Don’t always rely on swatches of shadows because sometimes they perform better on the eyes than they do in the swatches or vice versa… I just like to show swatches so you get an idea on what the colours look like.

Shade 9 – This is a brown shimmer. Pigmentation 3/5.
I actually quite enjoy this palette and have reached for it quite a few times since having it in my collection! It’s a nice everyday warm toned palette which is what I love in a palette, definitely one I use for everyday quick makeup. It could also be good for travelling as you have a few transition shades and a number of shimmers to choose from. However, like I said, there isn’t a mirror or a deeper matte shade which does let the palette down ever so slightly in my opinion. I think the price of the palette could be slightly cheaper but overall it does a nice job and works well on the eyes! You can’t create the most creative looks out there but if you’re looking for a palette just for everyday purposes then this could be a nice one to have and I would suggest giving it a try if you want to…
