Glitti Cosmetics FAIRYTALE BLENDING Palette Review

Hello babs! Sorry I haven’t been consistently blogging the last few weeks but I’m back with an eyeshadow palette review… the eyeshadow palette I’ll be reviewing today is from a brand whom I only recently discovered over on Instagram. The palette is called Fairytale Blending from a brand called Glitti Cosmetics. As I’ve been getting into eyeshadow more recently I thought I’d pick up another colourful palette to try out and use as I only have 2 in my collection so far. The palette costs £15 from their website (a little pricey for a not well known brand but I do think it’s worth the price)… the brand was kind enough to give me a 40% promoter discount for myself along with a code that my followers can use to get themselves 10% off. I’ve created a couple of looks with this palette so far and all I can say is I’m OBSESSED. Lets get into the review…

There are 12 eyeshadows in this palette, all of which are matte. This palette is cruelty-free, vegan and paraben free.

Packaging

The eyeshadows come in a shiny rose gold cardboard packaging. The name of the brand is in black lettering on the front of the palette. The packaging doesn’t feel cheap, it has a nice amount of weight to it. The palette flips open and has a magnetic shutting mechanism. Inside it comes with a good quality mirror. (There is no other information on the palette apart from the name of the brand, the shades also don’t have names)

First impressions

When I first got the palette I thought packaging was simplistic yet very nice to look at and it doesn’t feel cheap. What I really like about the palette is that it comes with a mirror inside, can’t beat a palette having a mirror! I wish there was more information on the palette such as the palette name and maybe the ingredients, little description of the palette etc. The palette does have a slight scent to it but it is nothing too overpowering unless you put your nose very close the eyeshadows…

From looking at the shades in the palette you definitely get a lot of shades to work with and I love how they are all matte because you can’t beat a colourful all matte palette! I also really like how there is a white and black shade in the palette as I think it really finishes the palette off. You get pretty much every standard colour of the rainbow in this palette which I really like. This palette definitely inspires me to create a lot of different looks and I think the layout of the shades works really well also.

The shadows actually have incredible pigmentation apart from the black which needs a little TLC to build it up. The shades work really well on the eyes and blend well together without losing their pigmentation. I did notice when removing the eyeshadows from my eyes that a few of the colours do leave a little staining but I was already made aware of this from the website. QUOTE FROM WEBSITE “Some of these shades are considered pressed pigments so might cause slight staining but nothing that can’t be removed.” So just bear that in mind when you are working with the shadows. I did put down a base beforehand but it still left a little staining so I would recommend using a base.

Swatches

Disclaimer: Don’t always rely on swatches of shadows because sometimes they perform better on the eyes than they do in the swatches or vice versa… I just like to show swatches so you get an idea on what the colours look like.

Final thoughts…

I have honestly been loving this palette since I’ve got it and its been the one I reach for the most out of my colourful palettes so far. I definitely think it is worth it for the price but if you are wanting to save some money then my code is JESS10 for 10% off (you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to😊) If you’re on the look out for a new colourful palette then I highly recommend trying this one out as I don’t think you will be disappointed! The shades have lovely pigmentation and they work so well together. Heres just a couple of my looks below that I’ve created using this palette…

Thanks for reading!
